Geelong Ring Road Employment Precinct Native Vegetation Precinct Plan (GRREP NVPP)

The City of Greater Geelong is proposing to remove the Native Vegetation Precinct Plan (NVPP) from the Geelong Ring Road Employment Precinct (GREP). The NVPP was introduced into the Planning Scheme in September 2013 via Amendment C243 to guide vegetation protection, balance development with biodiversity values, and streamline vegetation removal approvals.
Before deciding on the appropriate planning scheme amendment pathway to remove the NVPP, Council officers wrote to all directly affected landowners on 5 September 2025 seeking their views.

This amendment was gazetted on 6 March 2026 and is now operational.
