Building register

This register lists all building permits issued by a building surveyor for properties within the municipality given to Council within the last 10 years.

It is important to understand your obligations under the Information Privacy Act, as well as the Privacy Act 1998 (Cth), when collecting or handling information in the register. You will not use the information in any manner other than for yourself to obtain information relating to a building permit. This includes any use that may amount to an interference with the privacy of an individual generally or to facilitate direct marketing to a property where an entry for that property does not show consent to receive direct marketing at that address specifically.

About the building permit register

The information in this register includes issued building permits received by Council for works within the municipality. This information has been collected in accordance with section 32 of the Building Act (1993) and details made available for viewing in accordance with section 31 of the Building Act (1993). This register does not include information related to building works that do not require a building permit.

Please note, it may take several weeks for a building permit to appear in the system. Nonappearance does not mean that a building permit has not been issued for works. Accordingly, no warranty or guarantee is given by council as to the accuracy of the register and no reliance shall be placed on it.
