The Chair declared the meeting open at 7:00pm.
Council acknowledges Wadawurrung Traditional Owners of this land and pays its respects to all Elders past and present and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People who are part of the Greater Geelong community today.
The matter was urgent due to the allocation of sufficient time for public consultation prior to the adoption of both the Transparency Policy and the Governance Rules documents by 1 September 2020.

The Mayor, on behalf of Councillors and staff of the City of Greater Geelong acknowledged the significant contribution made to the City by Brett Luxford, Director Economy, Investment and Attraction who is departing the City to take up a new role as Chief Executive Officer at Mitchell Shire Council.
