School Holiday Drop-in Craft

Inspired by the On the Move exhibition, our studio will be buzzing with hands-on, transport-themed art activities using recycled materials. The whole family can get creative and build a cardboard submarine, design a plastic bottle car, or invent an entirely new mode of transport!
Our friendly Museum Educators will be there to guide and inspire you throughout the session.

Program Information:

Recommended ages:  4-12 years. But younger children are welcome too, with adult assistance. All children under 12 need adult supervision.

What to expect: This is a drop-in craft session. National Wool Museum staff will guide children in making transport machines from recycled materials. The session is unstructured and children can join in at their own pace.

What to bring: Nothing – all materials provided.

Who will be there: National Wool Museum staff, children, parents and carers. As it is a drop-in session the group size will fluctuate, with a maximum number of 30.

Outcomes for participants: Children will have the opportunity to practice creative expression and develop fine motor skills. They will finish with a craft project to take home with them. This is also an excellent opportunity for parents to create together with their children and participate in their learning.

Bookings: No bookings required - feel free to drop in on the day!  This program is included in the cost of museum entry.
