Big Wonder Weekend: Machine Makers Lab

As part of the Big Wonder Weekend, entry to the Museum is free on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September. It’s the perfect opportunity for the family to explore our interactive exhibition, On the Move, which makes learning about transport fun and dynamic.

And there’s even more to explore…

Upstairs the artists from the Indirect Object have created a Machine Making Lab which will be open from 10am - 2pm. Here you can get creative with cardboard and recycled materials as you cut, stick, build and decorate your very own planes, trains, buses and brilliant transport machines of the future. Artists and educators will be on hand to help you turn everyday materials into something amazing.

Come along, get creative and imagine a future where we move in new, sustainable and wonderful ways.

All ages welcome. Children must be supervised by an adult.
