Accessibility at our Leisure Centres

Leisurelink, Norlane ARC, Splashdown and Bellarine Aquatic & Sports Centre have:

• ramp or beach entry access to main pools
• accessible change rooms and toilets
• accessible (Disabled) car parking
• swimming lessons with Access and Inclusion qualified teachers.

Leisurelink and Norlane ARC facilities also include:

• multi-use warm water pool with ramp access for gentle rehabilitation and exercise
• 25 metre pool with ramp access for lap swimming
• wheelchair accessible to all parts of the facility
• accessible change rooms with height adjustable adult change table and hoists
• accessible gym equipment, including Upperbody Krank Cycle, Water Grinder and lowered treadmills.

Accessibility Multi-visit Card options

To be eligible for an Accessibility Multi-Visit Card, you must hold a current Centrelink Disability Support Pension (DSP) Card.

Accessibility Swim or Gym Multi-Visit Cards can only be purchased in-centre, and your current DSP Concession Card must be presented at the time of purchase.

Accessibility Swim x 25 Card

Access to pools, spas*, saunas*, steam rooms* and Aqua Aerobics.

Accessibility Gym x 25 Card

Access to gym, group exercise classes, pools, spas*, saunas*, steam rooms* and aqua aerobic classes.

Swim, Sport & Leisure accepts Companion Card and Carers Card.

Valid Companion Card holders are entitled to bring a support person free of charge when accessing Swim, Sport & Leisure facilities. The support person must be present solely to provide support and assistance to the Companion Card holder and is not permitted to independently participate in activities or use the facilities.

Carer Card: Issued to a primary carer supporting a person with a disability, medical condition, mental illness, frailty or palliative care needs. The card is not transferable and does not apply to employees of organisations providing contracted support.

Support Workers and Allied Health Practitioners

Support workers must provide photo ID* and may enter free of charge when they are solely assisting a participant with support needs, such as dressing, mobility or safe movement, and are not using the centre’s facilities.
Where a support worker participates in an activity, uses the facilities or requires a booked place, the standard entry fee applies, unless the participant presents a valid Companion Card.

*If photo ID is unavailable, a letter from the support worker’s disability support organisation confirming their employment may be accepted.

Allied Health Practitioners – Not eligible for free entry.
Allied Health professionals, including Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists and other similar health professionals, are required to pay the applicable standard entry fee.

Receipts
Support workers and Allied Health Practitioners may request a tax receipt at reception for reimbursement through their organisation or for personal tax purposes.

Conditions

• Eligibility for an Accessibility Multi Visit Card requires the member’s name to be listed on the DSP Concession Card.
• Multi-visit cards valid for 3 years.
• Minimum age 12 years for Group Exercise and Aqua Aerobics classes.
• Minimum age 16 years for access to the Gym, Spa or Sauna.
