Greater Avalon Employment Precinct

The Minister for Planning is the Planning Authority for this Amendment.

  • The Standing Advisory Committee (SAC) Hearing ran from 29 April to 19 May 2026.

    The SAC is an independent committee appointed to provide recommendations to the project team on how to address key issues. The SAC will review all the submissions and information presented at the hearing and prepare their independent report.

    The referred matters the SAC will provide advice relate to:
  • Flooding, drainage and integrated water management
  • Biodiversity
  • Planning scheme ordinance matters

The Greater Avalon (Employment) Precinct was approved by the Minister for Planning and gazetted on 30 September 2026 under Amendment C477ggee to the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme.
