Listed below are our terms and conditions for Gymnastics at Bellarine Aquatic & Sports Centre (BASC).
All terms and conditions
have been created to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants at all
times. These also ensure fair and equitable conditions for all using our
centres. Please discuss
these terms and conditions with any Swim Sport & Leisure staff member if
you require advice, guidance or clarification.
It’s important to note
that the following information is subject to change. In the event of updates or
amendments, you will be notified by your centre or through other communications
such as a letter, phone call, email or text message.
Please make every effort
to familiarise yourself with this information and refer to it when required.
Introduction
The following are
the terms and conditions on which the City of Greater Geelong (referred to as
we, us, our) offers membership in Gymnastics to a student (referred to as the
student or child) nominated by you (referred to as you, your). Conditions of
entry on display at our centres also apply.
You must be over the age
of 18 years to enter into this agreement. You may nominate as the student a
person under the age of 18 years of whom you are the parent or guardian, in
which case you agree that you are bound by these terms and conditions
personally and on their behalf.
Lessons
Gymnastics lessons are held each week during the school term,
excluding public holidays. If your child’s lesson falls on a public holiday the
cost of the class will be deducted from the direct debit payment automatically.
Supervision
Children under the
age of 10 must be handed over to the gymnastics coaches by an adult or guardian
16 years or older at the start of the lesson. The child will then be handed
back to an adult or guardian 16 years or older at the end of each lesson from
the multipurpose room doors.
Payments
We will arrange to debit your membership fee each fortnight in advance for the next fortnight. If a debit falls on a day that is not a banking day, the debit will occur on the next banking day.
You must ensure your card or account has sufficient funds available on the date each payment is due. If any payment is unsuccessful:
- You acknowledge that your financial institution may charge you a fee.
- You must pay the outstanding amount by regular debit or other means. We may arrange further attempts to debit payments.
If we cancel a lesson, we will provide a credit for the lesson off an upcoming debit payment.
Credits for missed
lessons
If your
child is absent due to illness or injury, a medical certificate can be
presented to obtain a credit for the class. The certificate must specify the
date and be presented within two weeks of the original absence. The credit will
be placed on your child’s membership profile and will be deducted from the next
direct debit payment.
Cancelling direct debit
If you decide you know longer want to continue in the program at any time please contact [email protected] requesting to cancel. Request will made within 14 days.
Your details
It is your
responsibility to inform the Centre of any change to your contact details.
Forms are available from reception staff at all Centres. To ensure the
confidentiality of your details and the accuracy of our records, any change
must be made in person at one of our Centres. In accordance with our privacy
policy, we are only able to discuss the student’s details with the nominated
parent/s or guardian/s.
Membership Card
Students will receive a gymnastics membership card at the time of
enrolment. The card must be presented to reception prior to your scheduled
lesson to gain access to the facility.
Closure of facility
Management
reserves the right to close any facility or part of a facility at any time for
urgent maintenance or upgrades. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you
of the closure.
Teacher and class changes
While we strive to provide your child with a consistent teacher and class,
at times this is not possible due to unavoidable circumstances.
