The Barwon Valley Activity Centre boasts the largest indoor sporting/recreation facilities south of the Barwon River within the City of Greater Geelong.
The centre includes four spacious courts each suited to different sports and events. Read the descriptions below to find the court that would best suit your group or event.

Forms which have been submitted but do not contain accurate information may not be accepted for processing.

Cricket lanes and pickleball court hire may be booked up to 7 days in advance of the intended date and time.
Cricket lanes and court hire is subject to availability and will be displayed on the client portal. If no availability is shown, this indicates that cricket lanes or court hire is unavailable due to existing bookings, or the venue is closed.
Cricket clubs 2025:
Submissions from cricket clubs for facilities hire in 2025 will be processed during Term 2, 2025.

Court one
Court one is the biggest court at our centre.
This court can be used for multiple sports such as futsal, basketball, roller derby and can hold 4 badminton or pickleball courts.
This space is also utilised to host markets and private events. Please complete our online form to enquire for availability/suitability of this space.
The court dimensions are 33.3 metres by 19 metres.
Court two
Court two is the perfect space for futsal matches, training, and can be used for a range of other sports such as basketball and dodgeball.
The court is fully enclosed making it perfect for all types of groups, events or parties. The court's half walls can be opened up for special events. Please complete our online form to enquire for availability/suitability of this space.
The court dimensions are 17.5 metres by 36.5 metres.
Court three
Court three is an artificial turf and fully enclosed netting.
The court boasts 3 cricket nets and has great lighting with adjacent social space which looks over the court.
This space can also be used for small private events and activities. A great area for hosting children's birthday parties. Please complete our online form to enquire for availability/suitability of this space.
The court dimensions are 22.5 metres by 9 metres.
Court four
Court four is our only fully separate court space with hard wood floors and a separate entry, carpark and boasts air condition and heating.
This multi-purpose space is suitable for a range of activities and sports. Please complete our online form to enquire for availability/suitability of this space.
The court dimensions are 22.6 metres by 10.3 metres.
Markets and private events
Barwon Valley Activity Centre may be an ideal space to host your market or private event.
The large open space appeals to a variety of different uses.
The centre currently caters for the collectables fair, the baby and children market, arts and craft markets, as well as hosting the Belmont Market every Sunday. Please complete our online form to enquire for availability/suitability of this space.
Generally, to host a private market, BVAC will require the following:
- ABN
- Public Liability Insurance - minimum amount of $20,000,000 level of cover
Please note that BVAC is not a general 'hall for hire'. All events require staffing, and spaces are charged on an hourly basis. We operate separately from the community halls team and follow different policies. Additionally, all events are staffed, and a Supervisor fee applies per hour. Not all facilities hire requests will be approved and completing a form does not guarantee a booking.
