Correction of errors, anomalies and deletion of redundant provisions in the Planning Scheme

Council has prepared Amendment C452ggee to the planning scheme and it is currently on public exhibition. Submissions can be made online using the form below.

The proposed amendment seeks to correct errors, anomalies and redundant provisions existing in the Greater Geelong Planning Scheme. These include inserting correct maps and document references, correcting property addresses in the heritage overlay, deleting redundant heritage and design & development overlays, correcting zoning and overlay mapping errors, and deleting flooding, land subject to inundation, significant landscape, public acquisition and environmental audit overlays that are no longer required. The amendment also proposes to rezone Council and Crown land to reflect its conservation and public open space status, rezone private utility installations, and include updated heritage overlay controls and statements of significance for heritage properties.
Please review the explanatory report under "Amendment Documents" below for the changes being made to your property.

The decision to prepare and exhibit the Amendment was made by a delegated Council officer.  A report on the proposal and the Council delegate’s resolution can be found below under “Supporting Documents”.
