Pop Up Museums at Drysdale Library and Corio Library

This winter, the National Wool Museum’s Education Team is hitting the road and bringing the excitement to your local library! In celebration of the On the Move exhibition, the Museum is holding a series of fun, transport-themed craft workshops for kids of all ages. Join us to design and build your own magical planes, trains, and automobiles using recycled materials.

 Program Details: 

Recommended ages:  4-12 years. Younger children are welcome with adult assistance. 

What to expect: This is a drop-in craft session. National Wool Museum staff will guide children in making cars, planes and trains from recycled materials. The session is unstructured and children can join in at their own pace. 

What to bring: Nothing – all materials provided. 

Who will be there: National Wool Museum staff, library staff, children, parents and carers. As it is a drop-in session the group size will fluctuate, with a maximum number of 30.

Outcomes for participants: Children will have the opportunity to practice creative expression and develop fine motor skills. They will finish with a craft project to take home with them. This is also an excellent opportunity for parents to create together with their children and participate in their learning. 

No bookings required.
