The amendment proposes to rezone land at 76-156 Canterbury Road East (part), 705-765 Princes Highway (part) and 785-805 Princes Highway (part), Lara to facilitate residential development.
The amendment applies to the land at 76-156 Canterbury Road
East (part), 705-765 Princes Highway (part) and 785-805 Princes Highway (part),
Lara. The proposal is to rezone the land from Farming Zone to General Residential Zone Schedule 1 and apply a Development Plan Overlay to the land. A copy of the application

Panel Hearing - 14 April to 17 April 2026
An Independent Panel was appointed to review submissions on 14 to 17 April 2026.
The Panel has provided its report to Council and a copy
is provided below under “Panel Hearing Documents”.
Council officers are reviewing the Panel’s
recommendations and will prepare a report to be considered at its August 2026 Council
meeting.

Council will consider an officer’s report at the 25 August 2026 meeting and will decide whether the amendment should be adopted.
