To
celebrate World Wide Knit in Public day, we are hosting a workshop for adults
to learn how to knit. Run by Fluff and Nonsense’s very own Tess Vandekolk.
Have
you always wanted to learn how to knit, but you aren’t sure where to start?
Come and learn the basics in a supportive and fun environment. You will learn
how to cast on, to knit and purl stitches, and how to cast off, all while
making a cute coaster to use under your favourite mugs.
All
materials provided.

About the Artist
I (Tess) started Fluff and Nonsense in 2022 as a side project while working in an
academic lab, simply to bring more joy into my life. What began as exploring
colour and texture in wool grew into designing knitting patterns and eventually
teaching.
I
love connecting with you and being part of your creative journey—sharing
techniques, tips, and ideas to help you get the most out of your projects. My
teaching approach is grounded in kindness and the understanding that everyone
learns differently. My goal is for you to leave feeling confident, empowered,
and supported with skills you can carry forward.
My
favourite things (in no particular order) are: cats, my husband, Whittaker’s
chocolate, Tea, Midsomer Murders and The Great British Bake Off. And puns.
