The Geelong Botanic Gardens provides a stunning natural setting for wedding ceremonies, offering a selection of private lawn spaces suited to both intimate celebrations and larger gatherings.
With twelve distinct locations available, including the Bunya and Walnut Lawns, which can accommodate up to 150 guests, each ceremony is thoughtfully scheduled to ensure exclusivity, with only one event hosted at a time.
Your booking includes exclusive use of your selected location for a two-hour period, allowing ample time for setup and pack-down. Couples are also welcome to enjoy photography throughout the gardens, capturing timeless moments against a truly breathtaking backdrop.
Please note: It will take 10 working days for us to process a booking for weddings and special occasions, so please allow sufficient planning time for this process.

Other special occasions
If you’re planning a small, low-impact event, the Geelong Botanic
Gardens is the perfect outdoor venue. Bookings are required to use lawn spaces for groups in the Gardens.
Please ensure to submit a form 2-3 weeks prior to your special occasion to allow time for processing.

To organise a public event, you must apply for a permit through Events Geelong. The time it takes to organise will vary depending on the size and complexity of your event. Please allow for this in your planning.
