Barbeques that are mostly made of metal can be dropped off for free at the Drysdale Resource Recovery Centre.


Otherwise:

Barbeques are one of the household waste items residents are able to have picked up from their property.

Best option for disposal:

Beds can be taken to the Drysdale Resource Recovery Centre for disposal. Fees will apply.

You may also be able to sell or donate your bed if it's still in good condition.



Best option for disposal:

Bedside tables can be taken to the Drysdale Resource Recovery Centre for disposal. Fees will apply. 


Otherwise:

Most residents can have two mattresses per year collected from their property at no extra charge, this collection is included in the waste service component of council rates.

Local charity Our Village (formerly Geelong Mums) takes donations of many baby and nursery items to give to other families in need.

Volunteers collect donations of cots, prams, car seats, clothes and other baby items. They then work with local social service agencies and Maternal Health Nurses, who request items for local families who are facing a variety of challenges.

Donated items must meet current Victorian safety standards and must be in great condition - a good question to ask is would you be happy to pass on to a close friend.

Otherwise:

Residents may be eligible to have bulky household waste items picked up from their property as part of their rates payment.
