E cigarettes (vapes) must not be placed in any of your kerbside bins.

It is against the law to place e-waste in kerbside bins in Victoria.

If the battery can be removed safely it can be taken to one of many local battery drop off points.

A trial of vape collection recycling bins is operating until the end of January 2026.

Trial collection bins are located at The Nest Youth Hub and The fOrT Youth Hub.

Many residents can have large e-waste items picked up directly from their residence as part of the hard waste collection service.

Emergency beacons must be disabled before disposal.

If your treadmill is in good working condition, consider selling second hand or giving away.

A TV antenna is classified as e-waste. If the TV antenna is greater than 1.5m in length, it will need to be broken down and can then be dropped off for free at the Drysdale Resource Recovery Centre or at the interim Geelong Resource Recovery Centre.

A TV antenna can be included in a hard waste booking as long as it is less than 1.5m in length.
