This amendment has been approved and was gazetted
on 25 January 2024.

The Amendment was adopted by Council on 24 October 2023 and sent
to the Minister for Planning for approval on the date listed above.

Council will consider an officer’s report at the Tuesday 24 October 2023 meeting and will decide whether the amendment should be adopted.

An Independent Panel was appointed to review submissions. It conducted an online Panel Hearing on 19 June 2023. The Panel has provided
its report to Council and a copy is provided below under “Panel Hearing
Documents".
Council officers are
reviewing the Panel’s recommendations and will prepare a report to be
considered at a future Council meeting.

Council considered a report on the
submissions to Amendment C339ggee on 28 March 2023 and resolved to abandon the part relating to the Lara Flood Study properties and refer the balance to an independent Panel. A copy of the Council minutes will be published below under
"Supporting Documents".
As a result Amendment C339ggee has been split into two parts.
Part 1 (which has been abandoned) relates to the Lara Flood Study and has a separate web page.
Part 2 relates to the Lower Barwon and Moorabool River Flood Study and Bellarine Peninsula Coastal Hazard Assessment. Details of Part 2 are on this webpage.

Council considered submissions relating to Part 2 aspects of Amendment C339ggee on14 December 2021 and 27 September 2022. Council resolved to prepare and exhibit Amendment C339ggee at its meeting on 28 July 2020. Amendment C339ggee Part 2 implements the Lower Barwon and Lower Moorabool Flood
Investigation (Dec 2018) and part of the Bellarine Peninsula - Corio Bay Local
Coastal Hazard Assessment (Dec 2015). It revises the mapping extent of the
Floodway Overlay (FO), Land Subject to Inundation Overlay (LSIO and LSIO2) in
the areas of the respective studies and replaces the Schedules to the FO and
LSIO with new FO1 and LSIO1 schedules across the municipality.
